Extension Beyond Back Wall: The bar needs to extend a minimum of 54 inches (1370 mm) from the centerline of the water closet towards the open side.

Rear Wall Horizontal Grab Bar:

Location: This grab bar should be mounted on the wall behind the toilet.
Height: Similar to the side wall grab bar, it should be installed between 33 inches and 36 inches (840-915 mm) above the finished floor to the top of the gripping surface.
Length: The recommended minimum length for the rear wall grab bar is 36 inches (915 mm).
Extension from Centerline: The grab bar must extend at least 12 inches (305 mm) from the centerline of the water closet towards the side wall on one side.
Extension Towards Open Side: On the opposite side (towards the open space), it needs to extend a minimum of 24 inches (610 mm) from the centerline of the water closet.

In some cases, where space limitations prevent a 36-inch rear wall grab bar, a minimum 24-inch grab bar centered on the water closet may be allowed.
